I came to live in Cornwall in 1997 and since then I have tried to photograph some of the magical aspects of details found within the Cornish landscape. Bob passed away on the 1st November 2014. I am his wife Julia and am keeping his websites alive in his memory.
Light falls on rocks, producing magnificent colours and illusions; the edge of the sea provides amazing juxtapositions of light and water; whilst the ancient landscape still radiates murmurings from long ago.
The quality of the light can be extraordinary. It often provides a combination of high contrast, saturated colours and vivid clarity. This is thought to arise because Cornwall is a narrow strip of land, surrounded on three sides by the sea.
